Trips to Italy

Hosted by our partner Leslie Rosa, of La Dolce Vigna, a veteran art curator and oenophile who designs trips for travelers, not tourists. Expect a perfect balance of exposure to small production Italian wine and detailed particulars of culture in these two distinctly different trips inspired by the wines at Bergamot Wine Co.

LE MARCHE 2019: September 20-26

A 7-day / 6-night tour of the region in Central Italy whose name literally means “the borderlands, ”nestled between the Apennine mountain range and the Adriatic Sea, sharing borders with six other regions. Perhaps it is exactly because of its famous neighbors that Le Marche has remained off the radar for so long. However, thanks to its unspoiled nature and expressive, now sought-after white wines such as Verdicchio di Castelli di Jesi and Verdicchio di Matelica, and reds, including Rosso Conero and Lacrima di Moro d’Alba, Le Marche is ready for its close-up! On this trip you can expect stellar wines, plenty of time to soak up the region’s rich natural landscapes, and three very special estates for lodging. In our leisure time we will visit an olive oil producer, dive into the amazing cuisine of the region, and still have time to relax beach or pool side (you decide!)
